Help us make calls for President Trump!
As we work to re-elect President Trump on November 3rd, one of the best ways to get involved is to make phone calls. Even if the voter doesn’t answer the phone, you will automatically leave a voicemail.
Making phone calls is also the perfect way to help out during quarantine! Thank you for your willingness to help. Follow the steps below to get started—it’s super easy!
Download The “Campaign Sidekick” App
You can find the app on the App Store (iPhone) and the Google Play Store (Android).
Log in To The App
You will be provided a username and password. If you still need one, please contact Evan Karabas (wicrchair@gmail.com)
Enter your username and password and select “CHOOSE YOUR CAMPAIGN”
Select “Wisconsin State”
Turn On Power-dialer
Once you’ve logged into the app, you will see the screen below (4). Turning on power-dialer will allow the application to automatically call people until someone answers, which will allow you to call many more voters!
Click the “Phone” button in the bottom right
Enter your phone number (don’t worry, the voters will not see your real phone number)
Note: Android users do not need to enter their phone number
Select the power-dialer circle in the top right corner
Start Making Calls!
Great work! Now it’s time to get started making calls.
Ensure that power-dialer is turned on by clicking the switch at the top right (it should look purple as in the picture)
After closing the power-dialer window, select the “Call” button on the bottom left
You will receive an incoming call, accept. The app is simply putting you in a conference call
What now?
There are a few different scenarios you may encounter. Luckily, the app provides options to deal with most of them.
If you get an answering machine, select the “Voicemail” button
This will automatically leave a voicemail for the voter, reminding them to vote for President Trump on November 3rd.
If you get a bad number, simply select the “Bad Number” button
If the caller has moved, select “Moved”
If you are able to speak to the caller, select the “Survey” button and enter any information you were able to collect
What Should I Say?
When you connect with a voter, a “Survey” button will appear. The survey includes the questions you should ask. Record as many voter responses as you can in the survey, this is extremely helpful as we need accurate voter data!
Troubleshooting
If the app stops working, the quickest way to fix it is usually to close the app (close the Campaign Sidekick tab so that the app completely closes), hang up on the conference call, and then re-enter the app.
